The global and domestic car industry has been deeply impacted by the Japan crisis. Reacting on a concern whether the Indian auto plants in Japan are safe or not, RC Bhargava, chairman of Maruti Suzuki told that its Japan plant is safe and will resume production from tomorrow onwards. Thay said that the export production will not be impacted due to the Japan crisis.
However, they thinks that vendors in north Japan may not be able to resume production soon as the northern part is still recovering from the disastrous effects created by tsunami.
Talking about the overall sales, Bhargava expects March sales to be around 1.1 lakh units. As far as Maruti Suzuki Kizashi product’s sale is concerned, he clarified that Kizashi constitutes a very small part of total sales.
“We will maintain margins if the yen stabilizes at current levels,”

So the production starts in japan is really a good news for the indian stocks market.
